you will notice that this will not be like most of my entries.. it will be colorless and rather short :p tamad eh, hehe..

this will be about the yawsayaw finals.. yeah, yeah i know.. it was years ago when this happened but still.. its worth telling ;)

before the actual thing, all the competitors were busily preparing for the competition (that includes make-up, hair dressing and the wearing of costumes).. josh and dazzle, two friends of ate naths, made sure that the magic 8 were all ready for the show on time..

1 pm was nearing and we held hands in prayer, wishing that we would be able to perform to the best of our abilities without injuries and hopefully win.. we didnt join the competiton to just win and get all the prizes we want (actually, thats just an extra :p) but we joined because we wanted to show our teachers, family and friends that we can do things that they can proud of..

we were 3rd to perform out of 12 schools and we were just so happy that we went through it safely and no technical difficulties happened.. and so we prepared for the showdown.. the school who ranked 12 and the school who ranked 11 will battle, the school who ranked 10 will compete against the school who ranked 9 and so on and so forth.. we placed second, next to st. marks, with a 5 point difference.. we waited patiently backstage as we once again, prayed to God, thanked Him for making us place 2nd and we asked Him to bless us through out the showdown..

when our crew was finally called to the stage, we took deep breaths and entered the stage.. it was amazing to see the mc crowd suddenly stand and wave the pompoms, banners and balloons we had for them.. they made us inspired to do more, they made us realize that giving 105% of your energy wouldnt hurt at all.. :) as the battle went on and the schools took turns in taking center stage, we tried to hype the crowd as much as we could because we want them to enjoy since we are giving our all for them.. yada-yada-yada!

after the looooong battle, we gave each other pats on the back and we bowed with the crew members of st. marks.. :D we wore big smiles as we headed back to our room.. we thought that that experience was already fulfilling but when we opened the door to the dressing room, we were welcomed by such warm smiles which was more than enough reason for us to smile even more.. haaay, ang sarap talaga nung feeling! hehe, we waited for the announcement of the final 6 schools who will battle and we were told by our PA that we were, again 2nd to st. marks but this time by a 3 point difference.. we planned for the combinations to be used for the final showdown (the score was back to zero, btw) and prepared behind the curtains.. blah-blah-blah!

entring the stage was such a confidence boosting thing.. now, we saw some of our teammates beside the stage cheering for us :p hehe, ansaya! anyway, the music started to play and we did our stuff.. hehe :p (ok, this is obvious lack of words, mwehehe.. such a pathetic paragraph, haha :p sorry)

the announcement of winners came and the 6 final schools assembled on stage.. the scores for every battle was flashed on the screen and we saw that we won against st. marks by 4 points.. :D (95% to 91%, i think) yay!!!!! haha, how fake can that be?? hehe..

moving on, our schoolmates suddenly ran to the stage (i dont even know how they did that so fast, hehe) and gave us hugs.. :D aww, thanks guys! i dont even remember the people who i hugged, all i know is they gave us the boost we needed and we are just so happy that we were able to win............ not only for God but for them :D heehee

we were asked to perform again and we did.. haha, as if we can complain.. :p

after the competition, we went outside to fix ourselves up and stuff.. everyone kept on congratulating us and we exchanges happy smiles with them.. some girls even followed us upto the lav and they watched us as we struggled to remove our mohawks.. hehe, even the master terps paid P100 to watch and show support for MC.. :)

haaaay, rash, crissy and i were talking about the whole experience and we all agreed that eventhough the audience number of MC were nothing compared to other schools, they were able to give as much support to us, maybe even more.. :D actually, some of the schools that unfortunately didnt make it to the final 6 joined our audience in chanting "MC, MC, MC" during the announcement..

the whole thing was undoubtfully memorable, enjoyable, exciting, fun.......... EVERYTHING. we would love to experience that again :D

first of all, i wanna congratulate the squad (especially PAU, RASH, CRISSY, JEH, MISSY, TRISH and NICKY) for winning first place in YAWSAYAW the metro-wide hip-hop challenge.. congrats guys! WE made it, as a team..

'em gonna run-down the things that happened before that..

at 5:30 in the morning, we all met up at the HS sports complex to mark the dance for the competition.. we left at around 6:15 so we could reach there at 7 which is the call time for all participants.. it was really disappointing to find only one school there who were with us until we reached the theater.. we started to fix our hair (care of nicky and jeh) then we proceeded inside the theater.. we began to warm ourselves up and we fixed our blockings in the dance..

at 11:30, we had our lunch at jollibee and this also meant catching up with the texts votes since Christian Acadaemy was already leading it..

by 12:45, people started to come inside the theater and we were a bit nervous because we couldnt see any MC person inside yet.. but despite this, we tried to go through everything with a smile.. i guess we did it quite well.. :P

our initial performance was ..... i dont know and i dont wanna say anything ..... but people were saying that we did well.. it was really touching for us to see MC supporters in the balcony cheering and waving the cartolinas with our names on them (although, we really couldnt read it form a far, hehe).. all the stunts were perfectly made and the dance went smoothly.. after the performance, we went backstage, as insturucted, and we were so shocked hearing and seeing all the masters terps cheering for us.. we felt like celebrities since they were shaking our hands and stuff like that.. we actually thought that they were cheering for all of the schools but the other schools came and went but none of them even said anything (but we did, dont worry :P we congratulated every school that came after us).. we waited for everything to finish and when the final six schools were about to be announced, we held hands in prayer because we know that only God could "make great things possible" (-globe. hehe) anyway, we squeezed each other's hands as the emcee called out school names.. it was really nerve-wracking but we kept our hopes up and luckily, we made it through together. the six schools were paired up and we were up against Sacred Heart (the school which we found best among all the other schools we competed against).. the battle didnt turn out to be what we wanted it to be.. it was quite chaotic, actually.. after that, one of the participants of Sacred Heart was accusing one of our members for touching her and stuff but we defended our team mate and we stayed strong for her.. in the end, everything was settled and we waited for the announcement of the winners.. we were scared because we know that since it is a competition, the chance of losing is just as big as the chance of winning.. when it was announcement time, we all prayed hard again and we just hoped that we would get the very thing we wanted that moment (which was winning).. we know that we did our best and we trusted each other greatly so we know that we had a chance.. the master terps were chanting "miriam, miriam, miriam..." backstage which made some of us burst into tears beacuse we didnt expect anyone, besides the MC crowd, (esp. our co-competitors) to cheer for us the way that they did.. anyway, the 2nd runner up got 71%, the first runner up got 77% (which was supposed to be 83% but they got a 5 point deduction for having contact with the other group during the on-core) and we got 93%!!! we were so shocked to hear that and we were very thankful that we were declared champions.. we repeated our routine and we put twice our effort into it so we could prove to everyone that we do deserve it.. people were congratulating us from everywhere and it made us realize that support can come from anyone, even from those unexpected people who can give as much encouragement as the others..

believing is a two-way connection. if you want people to trust in your team or your team mates to trust in you, you should have enough confidence to believe in yourself FIRST then youll realize that more people will support you who are ready to give extra puhes of motivation for you to be able to reach your goal.

after celebrating, we (nicky, jeh, rash, crissy and i) bought tickets for us to be able to watch the north division of yawsayaw.. after reserving seats, we went out to buy food when suddenly, people (whom we dont even know at all) were shouting "idol!" or "go miriam!" from everywhere, towars our direction.. it definitely put smiles to our faces and gave us more inspiration to do better in the finalas since more people were ready to support our team..

after doing everything that we needed to do, we went back inside the theater and sat on our seats.. when suddenly, some guys who were seating behind us were shouting "go miriam!" again.. we thought that they were the same people who we saw outside while buying food but surprisingly, we saw erik or eric (hehe) and steven there, the guys we met in eastwood one time.. **chit-chat**

anyway crissy and i got bored (you know us.. :P)!! haha, anyway.. since the competition wasnt about to start yet, we went around the mall, searching for more food and credits.. we saw "jesus" along the way and weird stares were being thrown to us by strangers.. maybe because we still had our hair-do's on..

the participants in the neo terps were basically ok.. the winner was an all-guys troupe (fyi, they got 88%)who were really great in breakdancing stunts like handstands and stuff.. as for the masters terps, ...erm... i forgot :P haha! i actually slept somewhere in the middle because the intermission number lulled me to sleep.. :D

it finished at around 10:30 and we were fetched at around 11.. crissy's dad brought me home and they went to eastwood to drop nicky off..

that is my looong story.. pagsamantalahan nyo na, mga next month pa ko maguupdate! :P

i feel stupid for blaming someone for my mistakes.. i was being so selfish and insensitive that i hurt others.. even the ones who had nothing to do with "it" in the first place.. i jumped into conclusions and i ended up knowing that i was wrong.. sorry to everyone for everything.. i love you all!

thanks for helping me stand up again.. for wiping off my tears on my face.. for accepting me after everything that has happened.. for taking the blame.. for keeping up with my terrible mood swings.................. for the great friendship..

**para 'to sa madaming tao.. you know who you are :D**

to you : its good that we've settled everything.. i hope that nothing like this will happen again.. :D sorry and thanks (you know why)

its been a while. i just felt really lazy these past few days.. actually, i was online everyday but the thing is, i didnt feel like blogging last week.. i had nothing to blog about anyway.. as a matter of fact, i dont have anything important to say here so if you dont wanna waste your precious time, then bye. haha, taray!

heres a summary for ya'll (this is not the only things that happened to me.. haha, practically, the things i remember):

college day performance - rashmi, crissy and i have been given the privilage to dance along with the sayawatha (sassy, titit, cy) and taekwondo (kara, moniquue, giselle, melanie, cent, reg).. yeah yeah, it doesnt make sense does it (you know, people who do kicks, punches and all that crap are gonna dance with the 2 school dance groups)? well, thats the way it is! we practiced together for 2 or 3 days and that was it. time was quite short but we did well.. people were laughing at us in some parts but it was ok since they did it in the right parts. :P

september serenade - yeah right, as if i watched! hehe.. after training (if you could call it one because we just talked about stuff), crissy and i went to mcdo via shelleys maroon car (haha, long story).. when we got there, we saw a LOT of knollers including our friends from the yellow batch who are mick, zandra, andrea, guiang and sis (russalie).. they were messing with us and our food.. losers! :)) kidding! mick even gave my P5 donation to her to the lady who asked for some money.. iba na pag gusto maging student of the month! :)) anyway, we took pictures with them and we asked them if they could come to our competition on oct. 1 but it turned out that they couldnt because its also mick's bday that day! screw that.. hehe :P can you just move your bday to another day instead?

mc vs st scho - we (ate isay, crissy and i) went to st. scho to watch a basketball game.. when we arrived there, it was already the 3rd quarter with around 3 minutes left.. at least, umabot pa! we won by 25 points, i think and the st scho people were shouting "st scho still rocks" "mc people are losers!" and stuff like that in front of our faces.. im not mad.. actually, its ok but the problem is, they get so freakin' annoyed when were the ones cheering.. so what do they want, a one-way thing? wherein theyre the only ones who can cheer for their school?? fine.. we were not put down by your cheers so :P...

the chaos - its weird when some people think you are mad at them when you are not.. **ehem, ehem** haha! moving on, its more weird when some people ask you for the name you want to be called by but they call you otherwise.. but the weirdest will always be thinking that you have a particular friend but when you look back after sometime, you realize that she has left you and shes living her life as if nothing happened and none of it mattered.. its weird, funny and it hurts. sacrificing some things, doing everything but then again, that person forgets so easily that you start to wonder why.. im not gonna go into detail here 'coz someone else might kill me if i do.. :P

so ill leave you thinking.............

FOR THE SQUAD

everything happens for a reason.. we might not know what it is but when the time comes, i know that we will finally be able to appreciate everything more because of the downs we have had.. after the competition, i was really touched to see faces shouting "GO MC!" with such determination.. it was a moment i will never forget.. it only showed how strong our team has become after all the bad things weve been through.. now i know that i can really put my trust to the squad knowing that they will always be there for me.. as ate naths said, team mates will always be to lift you up when youre feeling down and catch you whenever you fall.. now, i realized that my team mates never left me.. they have always been there for me when i needed them..

because of this i know that we will put twice of our effort for our next competitions since i am sure that we will treat this as a challenge for us and not as something that will put us down.. we will strive harder so that despite the bad stuff that might happen in the future, we will still be able to get what we want and what we really deserve..

thanks to ate naths because she never left us.. she put her trust in us right from the start and it never ceased since then.. i know that without her and her insipiring words, we couldnt have gone through everything with a smile.. she made us what we are today.. we are much more confident because we know that she will always be there looking out for us.. so thanks for everything..

I LOVE YOU GUYS!

LINGGO NG WIKA

ok, this is a total screw up for me, crissy and ina.. hehe, sorry classmates.. during the dance, we were running around the whole court looking for our blocking since it was our first time to do the dance with the blocking.. during practices, we only teach steps and we disregard our blocking first.. in some instances, we even learn two sides for successions.. unfortunately, it made our heads go insanely crazy!! that was really embarassing. the bad part was, even though we had masks, it wasnt enough to hide ourselves from shame.. plus jeh was screaming "go ate berns, go ate crissy, go ina!!" all through out the dance.. gee, thanks! :))

it all went well for us.. we didnt win but its fine.. what matters is, we know we did what we were supposed to do and we know that we had fun during the whole thing.. sorry if sometimes i "get mad" at you guys.. joke lang yun! haha.. but swear i was just messing around.. hehe.. on the bright side, we were declared 2nd placers in the classroom decoration contest.. yay!

anyway, after the winners were announced, crissy, ina and i went back to our classroom to pack up and get ready for galle to celebrate crissy's birthday.. so we washed our faces and waited for 3-4 (rashmi's class) to arrive.. but it took them almost forever to get there.. we never thought that they would arrive.. hehe, joke! :)) moving on.. when jeh, crissy, rashmi and i were FINALLY together, we went to the 2nd floor caf to meet up with sayawatha for the planning of our performance on september.. we spent 45 mins on finding the right music.. wooh! quite long huh?? but it was all fun..

OUR ADVETURES AND MISADVENTURES (the get away)

when everything was settled, we went to the grade school and we tried to get out of the campus.. but then again, we werent allowed to.. the guard was really annoying since he wanted us to go all the way to apsa (which is really far from there) just to get a small piece of paper called a gate pass.. rawr! so we didnt do it because of laziness.. instead, we just stayed there and looked at our other options in going out.. we called alex but it turns out that her mom is the one who will be picking her up and not her driver, so we attempted to go to the apsa because we thought that it was our last choice but on our way there, we saw lena and mick walking towards the gate.. we called them and asked them how they were gonna go out.. mick told us that she had a commuter's pass but lena forgot her wallet (with the pass) somewhere.. they gave it a shot and they went to the gate.. but they were blocked by the guard and they werent able to go out of the campus.. :P beh, hehe!

so we just stayed there and we brainstormed on the things we can do to get out.. because of this, we called ourselves, "the taxi-get aways".. a new group always meant group pictures and we couldnt let that moment pass away.. so we took pics.. yay, more pictures! :)) but after some time, we realized that we had to snap back to reality and so we did.. we figured out that mick could go and get a cab outside and make the cab go around so she can come back to MC and pick us up.. get it? oh well. and so the plan was put into effect.. when the cab reached MC, we rode it and we took a turn on the far end of the road so we could come back and get out of MC.. the plan was going well as planned but the guard spoiled everything.. he stopped the cab and let all of the people ithout a commuter's pass go out.. badtrip! mick was left inside the cab alone.. hehe, sorry for the trouble! :D

we were surprisedwhen we saw her running back towards us.. she narrated everything and we (crissy, rash, jeh and i) realized that we were causing too much hassle for the 2 of them.. so we just promised them that we would buy something for them in galle - if ever we can get there.. we said goodbye and we walked to the college lanai..

we decided that were gonna go to galle tomorrow after training instead and we would just hang-out at jeh's place the rest of the day.. but first, we passed by national to buy some VCDs/DVDs to watch.. we watched shakespeare in love but i wasnt able to finish it.. awww :(

today is a mix of everything but its all fun.. after all, every moment with the fantastic 4 is fun! just add it up with the company of new friends, it would surely make your day eventhough bad stuff happen..

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CRISSY!!!

our racket with ate naths happened last friday and it was UBER fun!

call time was 1:30pm at the rcbc plaza in makati.. pat picked us (rash, crissy and i) up at ice monster and we went to the place together.. we arrived there at around 2:30 and they were already marking the dances.. we were running like mad in the corridors looking for the rehearsal place in a big, furturistic building.. oh, the dressing room was really cool with all the yellow bulbs around it.. :P

ate naths checked our costumes and guess what? almost all of my costumes were rejected.. :)) iba na pag hndi marunong magdamit pag pangstage! anyway, we went to the theater to check out the stage and to block.. it went rather fast since we were with professional dancers namely kuya ryan, kuya mac-mac, kuya francis, ate naths, ate danie, england and the star - JOSH (he's gay, by the way) !!!! hehe, he is SO funny! as in. there was even this one time that he wore thongs and he had a small face towel to cover his "thing" so he had to walk around the dressing room with his butt towards the walls.. he fixed rashmi, crissy and pat's hair and make-up while i was took care of by ate naths and ate danie..

the performance tself was not perfect but nonetheless good. i would rate it as 8/10.. :D good enough if you count the fact that we only met twice before the performance itself..
-we were introduced as the UST salinggawi dance troup instead of "synergy".. i would not like to see the faces of their dancers if they know what had happened there.. good luck to us!
-jazz:i tripped during our turn thingy! my foot got tangled with kuya mac-mac's and i ended up landing on my butt.. get the picture? bad trip! major mistake! plus i wasnt able to do my lift with england because my hand on his houlder slipped since he was sweating all over..
-limang dipang tao (interpretative dance):i absolutely like that! well, except for the costume.. ate naths made me wear this really short pink skirt and it was uncomfortable dancing in that! the skirtis really cute but dancing in it? no thanks. -breakdancing:i like this because im not casted.. :)) so i got to watch the whole thing.. yay! but the bad part of it was i had to hold a very heavy bag with all our valuables during their dance.. rawr, i should have ran! :)) they were really good and they did hype the crowd up!
-hiphop:i spilled out every bit of energy in me in this dance.. although tiny mistakes happened, it all went well for us..

after the show, we went back to the dressing room and vanity struck again! we took vain pics with difeerent people and we even used the multi-shot feature of crissy's phone.. tsktsk, we can never have enough pics! moving on, ate naths went with us to starbucks because she cant drop us off anywhere.. we stayed there for a short time only and we just chilled in 7-11 (hi to "7-11" of the 3rd block :P).. my dad picked us up at around 12:30 already and we just stayed here, in my house, for about an hour.. we survived boredom by taking pictures of ourselves.. yeah, yeah.. i know we are vain..

at 2pm, they went to crissy's house together (rashmi was gonna sleepover at crissy's house) and i took vain pics of myself.. :)) sorry na mew! anyway, i went upsatairs to get ready to sleep.. it took me 45 looooooong minutes to finally remove my hair-do! imagine that! lotsa hairspray and hairpins were responsible for it.. by the time i was ready for bed, i was already sweating and so i had to take a shower.. struggle! but when i was over with everything, i didnt feel sleepy at all..

haaaaaay, life's so difficult tolive with..
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

FOR THE PEPSQUAD

dancing is my passion, it is almost everything in me..

for me, it is something where in i could relase everything in.. my anger, my frustrations and my joy.. however, i felt something that's weird.. i lost my liking for i lately, but not totally.. yes, i love to dance.. but trainings have been so stressful that we dont enjoy anymore and enjoying what you're doing is really a big thing..

but to the squad, we may face many challenges and difficuties that can make us weak in a sense that we start to give up.. but i belive in you guys that we can do it.. lets prove to her that we can make it and we want it.

KAYA NATIN TO KUNG GUGUSTUHIN.

'nuff said.

**sorry for not making a detailed entry.. em too lazy to do so and im not allowed to**
